Simple Ways to Welcome Spring
Welcome, spring! This long-awaited season is home to holidays, fresh air and anticipation. Do you have any special spring rituals?
“We love spring—the season of renewal and fresh starts—at Clinic Sofia and look forward to the many patients and babies we will welcome in the months to come!” said Dr. Staci Biegner.
We have pulled together some inspiration on celebrating the season and ushering in the warmth and color of spring:
- Create a spring bucket list. What do you and your family want to do this season? Cultivate a list of ideas and enjoy trying them out and checking them off whenever you have a free moment. Your list might include dining at an outdoor patio for brunch, a hike on a new-to-you trail or getting ready for a summer garage sale.
- Make a spring meal. Salmon with asparagus or pasta with peas and a hint of lemon can help you usher in the season in good taste and with spring produce. Another idea: Get creative and make spring rolls!
- Plan or plant your garden. You can start some of your summer flowers and veggies indoors and transfer them outside when the time is right. In the meantime, you can create a master plan for anything and everything you want to grow this year—consider trying something new! Now is also a fun time to venture out to your local farmer’s market and see what’s on the horizon.
- Splash in a puddle, dance like no one’s watching and say hello to your inner child. When was the last time you intentionally went out in the rain? Maybe this spring is the time to put on your favorite rain boots and jump in a puddle. Maybe your version of letting loose involves singing to loud music while spring cleaning or decorating your house in a splash of spring colors.
The possibilities for saying goodbye to winter and hello to spring are endless: Watch a sports tournament, test out your camping gear with an indoor camping night, invite the neighbors for a picnic, host an Easter egg hunt, meditate, clean out your bird feeder, plant a tree, or watch the sunrise and sunset on the same day.
