Dr. Stevens Named Chair of Legislative Committee for ACOG Minneosota

Clinic Sofia is proud to announce that Dr. Erin Stevens has been named the Chair of the Legislative Committee for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Minnesota.  An advocate for women in and out of the doctor’s office, Dr. Stevens is deeply interested in legislation affecting women’s health and has been an active member of the committee for several years.  In her new role, Dr. Stevens will head the Legislative Committee and is responsible for overseeing committee meetings, building relationships with legislators and other stakeholders, conducting behind-the-scenes work to guide advice on legislation relevant to OB/Gyn clinicians and patients and developing a plan for support for priority legislation. During the five-year position, she will continue to provide written and oral testimony at hearings in the Minnesota House and Senate and serve as the face of MN ACOG for any legislative affairs. She will also head Minnesota’s contingent that attends the annual ACOG Congressional Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. 

Minnesota Medicine Interviews Dr. Stevens

Dr. Erin Stevens was recently featured on the cover of "Minnesota Medicine" magazine and in the cover story, "Fiercely Independent," which highlights the benefits of working in a private practice. In the article, Dr. Stevens shares that she chose to launch her career in private practice at Clinic Sofia based on the ability to "provide highly personalized care," the clinic's commitment to work-life balance and the "right setting for her to forge connections with patients." Dr. Stevens appears on FOX 9 Good Day

Dr. Erin Stevens appeared on FOX 9 Good Day to share tips on preparing for labor and delivery.  She also offered some advice from her book, "Unexpected: A Postpartum Survival Guide," about what to expect after pregnancy, including how to prepare a postpartum survival kit and what friends and family can do to offer support.
