Dr. Stevens Named Chair of Legislative Committee for ACOG Minneosota
12.07.2023Clinic Sofia is proud to announce that Dr. Erin Stevens has been named the Chair of the Legislative Committee for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Minnesota. An advocate for women in and out of the doctor’s office, Dr. Stevens is deeply interested in legislation affecting women’s health and has been an active member of the committee for several years. In her new role, Dr. Stevens will head the Legislative Committee and is responsible for overseeing committee meetings, building relationships with legislators and other stakeholders, conducting behind-the-scenes work to guide advice on legislation relevant to OB/Gyn clinicians and patients and developing a plan for support for priority legislation. During the five-year position, she will continue to provide written and oral testimony at hearings in the Minnesota House and Senate and serve as the face of MN ACOG for any legislative affairs. She will also head Minnesota’s contingent that attends the annual ACOG Congressional Leadership Conference in Washington, DC.

In the article, Dr. Stevens shares that she chose to launch her career in private practice at Clinic Sofia based on the ability to "provide highly personalized care," the clinic's commitment to work-life balance and the "right setting for her to forge connections with patients."
