12.15.2017Thanks to all of you who donated items for Clinic Sofia’s Crimson Kit Collection over the past month. Through your donations, we were able to assemble 235 kits, which equates to almost enough supplies to support 20 women through their periods for a whole year! "When you become bogged down with all the badness in the world, it’s a wonderful feeling to try to focus on the good,” said Dr. Erin Stevens. “Thanks to everyone who gave products and for those who came to Clinic Sofia to help assemble the kits. I am so proud to be part of such a caring community." She adds the Crimson Kits were recently delivered to People Serving People and Tubman to share with women experiencing homelessness or those displaced from their homes due to domestic violence. “We hope to make this an annual tradition at Clinic Sofia, making it bigger and better each year!"
Announcing Crimson Kit Assembly/Open House Event!
11.27.2017As may know, Clinic Sofia has been collecting donations of period products to be provided to People Serving People and Tubman to share with women experiencing homelessness or displaced from their homes due to domestic violence. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community of women, we have collected a number of supplies that we will assemble into "Crimson Kits" on December 7th from 6 to 8 p .m. at our Edina location. We hope you will join us! There will be seasonal music playing and refreshments provided. Sip on hot chocolate, sing along, and embrace the holiday spirit of giving and togetherness. We will assemble the donations into individual kits containing the products needed by a woman for an average period. Donations (e.g., pads, tampons, pantyliners, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, underwear, chocolate) may be brought directly to this event. Please consider donating products and/or time to help women in need during this holiday season! Share this event with your friends and family to spread the word. If you have questions, suggestions, or donations that you are unable to bring to either location, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
