Dr. Lily Foley’s path to Obstetrics and Gynecology has been shaped by a strong commitment to patient-centered care, education, and community engagement.

“My approach to medicine is rooted in listening first. I want my patients to feel comfortable asking questions, understanding their options, and actively participating in their care. A strong physician-patient relationship is built on a foundation of trust.”

Dr. Foley earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies in Biology at University of San Diego. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2026. She was delighted to be able to return to her home state of Minnesota and serve the community where she was raised.

Throughout her training, Dr. Foley has demonstrated a strong dedication to both clinical excellence and academic achievement, earning multiple honors and scholarships. She has also been recognized for her research contributions, including receiving a Best Paper Award for her work on prelabor rupture of membranes. Her research and presentations have focused on improving patient outcomes, preventive care, and evidence-based practices in Women’s Health.

My goal is to build trusting relationships with patients while empowering them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.”

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Foley is deeply involved in mentorship, teaching, and community service. She has worked with underserved populations both locally and internationally, including providing care and education in Peru, and has been an active mentor to medical students. She also led resident wellness initiatives, reflecting her commitment to supporting both patients and colleagues.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Foley enjoys pilates, pickleball, and paddle boarding. She also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband. She is a huge Minnesota Vikings Fan!
